The Supreme Court has strongly commented on the violent display of students at Jamia Millia University and Aligarh Muslim University on the Citizenship Amendment Act. On the plea of senior advocate Indira Jaising, the apex court said that it would hear the matter tomorrow but the violence should stop before that. Jai Singh argued before Chief Justice SA Bobde that human rights are being violated across the country. The Chief Justice said that we are not against peaceful demonstrations and understand our responsibility for the protection of rights.
नागरिकता संशोधन कानून पर जामिया मिलिया यूनिवर्सिटी और अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम यूनिवर्सिटी में छात्रों के हिंसक प्रदर्शन पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सख्त टिप्पणी की है। वरिष्ठ वकील इंदिरा जयसिंह की याचिका पर शीर्ष अदालत ने कहा कि वो इस मामले की कल सुनवाई करेगी लेकिन उससे पहले हिंसा रुकनी चाहिए।जयसिंह ने चीफ जस्टिस एसए बोबडे के सामने दलील रखी कि पूरे देश में मानवाधिकारों का हनन हो रहा है। चीफ जस्टिस ने कहा कि हम शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शन के खिलाफ नहीं हैं और अधिकारों के संरक्षण के लिए अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझते हैं।
